O2 Sensors On A 2012 Chevy Traverse Diagram

I have a 2011 LT. I got it used in 2012 and it's been a good vehicle except for an hvac leak when I first purchased it (which was covered by the dealer).

A few weeks ago I got a CEL, and although my scanner wouldn't tell me the code, I went to an auto parts store and it came up as P0050, which seems to be a common problem according to their database. I know it is the heated oxygen sensor from bank 2 and sensor 1. I know bank 2 means the side of the second cylinder in the fire order, which on the traverse is toward the front of the vehicle. I know that sensor 1 is the first in the line before the catalytic converter.

I'm fairly sure I need this part:

http://www.amazon.com/ACDelco-213-4406-Original-Equipment-Heated/dp/B001KSANCG

(And maybe the sensor socket to get around the wire)

But I can't figure out where the actual sensor is. I have seen a couple pictures, but without context of where that is, I don't know where to find it. Do I need to get under the vehicle?

Looking under the hood, this is the closest thing I could find that is what I'm looking for, but doesn't look like any other pictures I've seen:

This is looking straight down from the front and slightly to the right between the engine and the front of the vehicle.

Is this it? If not, could someone help me find what I'm looking for with some context?

Thanks!

Yes, that is the sensor you are looking for in the photo. And yes, the sensor you have linked at Amazon is the correct sensor. Same thing I bought when I did mine.

This is what I bought, Socket on Amazon, it did the job just fine.

We called that a "crows foot" socket in the Navy.

Perfect, thanks, I plan to do the repair in the next few days. I'll be sure to update if anything goes wrong. Thanks again!

Just updating this for posterity ...

I replaced the sensor in question and it fixed the problem. It was about $75 ordered from my local parts store.

It took a few restarts of the car over a couple weeks for the light to go away (I don't drive the car much), but it eventually went out on its own.

I just used the sensor socket, an angle adapter, and an extension and the sensor came out and went in pretty easily. The hardest part was unhooking the wiring harness, actually.

Thanks again for all the help. Let's hope this is the last issue my traverse has for a while!

I agree.. that little wiring harness close to the trans- was the hardest part about that sensor.

here Im using a breaker bar- to help me loosen it up...

the pic below is the sensor AFTER the cat-- on the cat closest to the radiator.
Im including this pic- so you can see how you use the crowsfoot upside down... same way youll use it on the sensor shown above

There are 4 oxygen sensors correct? Is the sensor after the cat a downstream sensor? Where are the other two?

if you look at both exhaust manifolds, theyll be visible.
the one closest to the radiator- is easy to spot.
the other one is between the engine and the firewall.

then theres 2 more after the cats.
you would have to get under the vehicle to see those.

are all the sensor the same connector?
Remember one of my cars there was a upstream and downstream sensors and bot had different connector.
